    • DAY 1


    Upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), you will be met and escorted by our HTCey Leisure Tour Guides to a vehicle of your choice.

    After checking in at a hotel of your choice, spend your first night in Negombo, by the beach.

    (Approximately a 30 minute journey from the Airport to Negombo)

    • DAY 2


    With a packed breakfast you will set off early to Sigiriya, in the centre of the cultural triangle. Your morning's hike is to the Sigiriya Rock fortress built by King Kassapa I (477–95). Keep your cameras ready to capture the breathtaking view from the 180 meter high 'Lion's Rock' which is surrounded by thick greenery. The UNESCO world heritage site also is well known for the frescoes or paintings on the rocks as are the Sigiri grafitti or poems inscribed in the rock in ancient text.

    In the evening, take an energetic 2-hour cycling tour on a course that takes you to the depth of Sri Lankan village-life along the scenic banks of 7 lakes with paddy fields and mountainous peaks in the backdrop.

    (Approximately a 4 hour journey from Negombo to Sigiriya)

    • DAY 3

    Knuckles → Kandy

    After Breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to Knuckles for a trekking tour. Knuckles Range is a mountain with five peaks that looks like the knuckles of a clenched fist when seen from various locations. Known as the Misty Valley (" Dumbara Mitiyawatha" in Sinhalese), this untouched nature reserve is a paradise for trekkers with its abundance of flora and fauna that are unique to this region and waterfalls and streams running though the mountains. Knuckles is the starting point of one of the major rivers in Sri Lanka – Kalu Ganga – as well as 2 others.

    Thereafter, drive to the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka and its Hill Capital, Kandy, and check in to your hotel of choice in the late afternoon. Spend the evening at leisure.

    • DAY 4

    Nuwara Eliya

    After Breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed towards - Nuwara Eliya – named "Little England" by the British who used this city in the hill country as a retreat to spend their vacations during colonial times. The colder climate away from the hot temperatures in Colombo was the perfect getaway for the Englishmen that were ruling the country at the time. En route, stop at a Tea Factory and enjoy a warm cuppa in the cool climes.

    Check in to the hotel of your choice in Nuwara Eliya, and spend a day at leisure to rest and recuperate, in this little time capsule that takes you back to colonial Sri Lanka, strolling through the town, street shopping or simply relaxing.

    • DAY 5

    Horton Plains → Nuwara Eliya

    Leave the Hotel early morning with a take away breakfast for a trekking expedition of the Horton Plains and World's End. The trek will give you sightings of wild life, a glimpse of rare mountain grassland and misty valleys as you climb up to the Plains and on to the World's end. Considered one of the coldest locations in Sri Lanka, the temperatures at Horton Plains have been recorded at 5 degree C and have recordings of rain of over 5000mm making overnight frost a common occurrence.

    Proceed to Bambarakanda Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in Sri Lanka from Horton Plains via the "Devil's Staircase" a 4WD drive for the brave. After a picnic lunch, spend the afternoon hiking through the many nature trails and take a cool dip in the natural pools known as the "Seven Basins" at the bottom of the falls.

    (Approximately a 1 hour journey from Nuwara Eliya to Horton Plains)

    • DAY 6

    Kitulgala → Wadduwa

    After Breakfast at the Hotel, proceed to Wadduwa via a stopover in Kitulgala for a white water rafting session that covers 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids over a distance of 5 to 7km. Your guide could also arrange for a water tubing or waterfall abseiling adventure if you prefer. Whilst in the area of Kitulgala, you could explore the surroundings where the academy award winning movie "Bridge on the River Kwai" was filmed.

    Check in to your hotel in Wadduwa and enjoy the sun and sand of the West Coast for as many days as you please. Scuba Diving or snorkeling can also be arranged additionally.

    • DAY 7


    Prepare for your return journey to BIA. You are expected to be at the airport at least 3 hours prior to your departure time. Have a safe journey back home and we hope to see you soon.
